    Since I needed to disassembly this receiver for making a good picture from the motherboard I have taken several pictures from it and seems to me nice to place them.

    Later there will be some pictures placed from the motherboard in closed view, but this are the pictures while I Assemble it.
    Just for fun, enjoy it if you like.

    Total overview of all the parts..

    I'm not sure if it can be done, in any case, the only connector (I think) that maybe can be used is the CN4, but this depends how the voltages from it are.
    Scl/Sda are normally 3.3v so also the vvc pin, thus if this connector has the two 3.3v pins, and one vcc 3,3v pin it could be the jtag (I2c) connector.

    As for the bbs drivers, the 8500 has the BCM7429 cpu, and in my list I have the bcm97429cb drivers which may work for these cpu's, but I never have checked it.
    The samsung K9F4G08uoe nand flash chip xml file needs to be figured out.

    In any case, as far as I known, allot of if's and missing information about the jtag to the xtrend 8500.

    Indeed, the CN4 is for the jtag(I2c), CN4-D2 pin side is Gnd, next one the SDA and 3th the SCL.

    Xtrend-ET8500-jtag.jpg

    But sorry, I can not find the datasheet from the K9F4G08UOE to know the DevId.
    K9F4G08UOE.jpg

    I've tried this, which seems to me logic but failed.

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <Flash maker="Samsung" name="Samsung K9F4G08U0E" type="NAND" technology="SLC">
      <Command type="Nand" programmode="Block" maxbyte="2048"/>
      <ID>
        <Maker maxbyte="1" offset="0x00">0xEC</Maker>
        <Device maxbyte="1">
          <DevId offset="0x01">0xDC</DevId>
        </Device>
      </ID>
      <Size unit="gbit">2</Size>
      <Sector uniform="true" secure="false">
        <MaxSector>2048</MaxSector>
        <Size unit="kbyte">512</Size>
      </Sector>
    </Flash>

    Sorry but I have no plans to remove the Nand flash chip because it's located on a complicated to reach place and to remove it, the CI slot plastic/metal needs to be removed, and I have also my doubts if I there is room for a nand socket.
    But also because there seems to be a possibility to reach the box by jtag, only the xml script needs to be figured out, and also the upload bbs/xtrend CFE boot loader is still unknown, but they are at least to download at github.

    Question Q6 has nothing to do with the issue you have, or your box should just start up and shows the front display, but failed with hdmi.
    In any case, most of the voltage measurements are noted on this images, but you probably already have seen this xtrend voltage overview.

    When I did a nand flash ID test with bbs and a script it came up with the S25FL032A.
    And when I connect with the Spansion S25FL032A it just connect to the Samsung K9F4G08U0E as you can see on this picture.

    Xtrend-et8500-Bcm97429CB.jpg

    So if you like, you can try to upload the Cfe file, single or multiboot and when finishes with the upload try to flash the box by usb.

    Thanks again
    after checking Q6 left white point side, 3.96v, center 3.96v and right side 3.6v I think the Q6 is not good what is the reference
    I see that it is missing the diode d11 I can put what as a diode

    The hdmi diodes are mainly added for the surge protection and when missing it should not give any issue with showing the picture.
    I do not know the value of the smd diode, but basicly you should be able to measure it, or else search by google to hdmi diodes value.

    The Q6, 5v side seems to come from the R156 resistor, I think, check the input of this resistor if you have the 5v.
    If so, and the other side is as you say 3.96v, then it may be caused due this resistor.
