Jtag (I2C) connector CN4 connection info..

For making a connection to it you need a EZ USB FX2LP CY7C68013A 51 Core development board as these,
    CY7C68013ASnap.jpg
Connect the GND, SDA, SCL pins to the CN4 connector, do not use the Vcc connection.

Spansion S25FL032A.xml code (but basically it should already be present in the Bbs Flashes directory).
    Code:

    Any help with Broadband Studio 3 - Bcm97429.zip, it doesn't include broadbandstudio3.msi.
I found one, but now I get errors it can't connect to the database because it's an older version ?

This Bcm97429.zip file has also the Bcm97429CBSetup.msi installer, thus it should be working.

Or, you want also the bbs program self instead of this Bcm97429 addon then you could try this bbs installer which I always use, but i'm not sure if its a 3.0 or 3.1 version.

I am new to broadband studio, but when I run it and select View - Devices - Bcm97429CB I get this error:
Error: Unable to connect to the local database: C:\ProgramData\Broadcom Corporation\Broadband Studio\Drivers\Chips\Bcm7429.sdf
You are trying to access an older version of a SQL Server Compact database. If this is a SQL Server CE 1.0 or 2.0 database, run upgrade.exe. If this is a SQL Server Compact 3.5 database, run Compact / Repair. [ Db version = 4000000,Requested version = 3505053,File name = C:\ProgramData\Broadcom Corporation\Broadband Studio\Drivers\Chips\Bcm7429.sdf ]
    I used above Broadband Studio 3.zip and Broadband Studio 3 - Bcm97429.zip

Which operation system do you use because I find the installation path a bit strange,
    C:\ProgramData\Broadcom Corporation\Broadband Studio\Drivers\Chips\Bcm7429.sdf

While it by my Wxp computers normally installs to,
    C:\Program Files\Broadcom\Broadband Studio 3\Drivers\Chips\Bcm7429.sdf

Which Bbs version do you have?
See the Bbs Help, About Bbs
    I have the version 3.1.60125.8

In any case, as for the howto install Bbs you can take a look here,
    http://www.ourdreambox.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=17374

But.. it seems that it also works with w7, as you can read here,

Using Windows 10 1909, do I need to use an older OS ?
And the BBS you sent above 3.1.50315.9.
    I'll have a try with Win7.

When I place the folder Broadband Studio 3 inside the Broadband Studio 3 - Bcm97421 folder where setup.exe resides and run it, I get:
Setup has detected that the file 'C:\Users\gertjan\AppData\Local\Temp\VSDE2CF.tmp\Broadband Studio 3\broadbandstudio3.msi' has either changed since it was initially published or may be corrupt.

See the setup log file located at 'C:\Users\gertjan\AppData\Local\Temp\VSDE2CF.tmp\install.log' for more information.

That logs says at the end:
Verifying file integrity of C:\Users\gertjan\AppData\Local\Temp\VSDE2CF.tmp\Broadband Studio 3\broadbandstudio3.msi
    Verifying file hash
Error: Setup has detected that the file 'C:\Users\gertjan\AppData\Local\Temp\VSDE2CF.tmp\Broadband Studio 3\broadbandstudio3.msi' has either changed since it was initially published or may be corrupt.

Somehow I think the broadbandstudio3.msi version does not match with Broadband Studio 3 - Bcm97421\Bcm97429CBSetup.msi

For me the best experience is to use BBS tool with Windows Xp to recover my box via jtag .
The SQL error normally comes due to windows configuration management files. where usually means that the client can't find the SQL Server instance.
If you are using Windows Xp check it if it is has SP3 installed .

Ok I try it in an XP vm, just to see if the database error is gone. Then I have a look for an older physical one.
When I run the 2 msi's after each other on a win7 machine I get the database error as well.

Yes . because when it reads the whole map/structure to application it verifies the files integrity of the path to a temporary location of the MSI file.

    Any new version .
But as Johnny has said above and I have used to . the best option to try is better with Windows xp .

I installed it on a XP SP3 with dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64 installed.
When I run Broadband Studio 3 and select Bcm97429CB, I get the same error:

It looks like I make some progress. Running a XP VM and passthrough the USB, I get a Connected State in Broadband Studio 3.
I can also upload the entire flash to a file. But it's really slow, can anyone confirm it takes about 4 minutes 20 secs to dump 1% of a 256MByte Samsung K9F2G08u0C ?

It also works on an old Windows 7 laptop, the dump runs a lot faster on a physical machine.
The XP vm still runs and is at 63%, the Win7 machine is already at 46% and is started a couple of hours later.
