    Hello,

Lately my Vu+ Solo4K receiver started to freeze displaying an image on screen which does not change but the rest of receiver works, i can change channels, change volume level etc, over webif it works well, even the image preview show the right content, only the hdmi seems to suffer.

If i reboot the stb it starts with the last freezed image which seems to be kept somehow saved somewhere and when it switch to default channel show a new horizontal desynchronization image which is not a real horizontal sync issue because the image does not change.

If i keep long enough the stb without power it recovers but i think is not because he lose the data but because is cooling down probably.

Anyone here saw this issue till now?

    Best regards,

    Marc

The image which looks OK it is the one on which the stb freezed last time, same image show ok during boot instead of openpli logo while boot and when the boot is complete the desynchronized image is displayed.
This time the stb didn't recovered so i unplugged both the tv and the stb from power, after two minutes it is back in business, so could be related to the tv?

The playback of a received image from the tuner is a different playback source than the menu image, or the playback of a video file.
In any case, the tuner, and of course also the CPU, is involved, but also the decoding part.
In any case, this is a difficult defect if it is caused by the receiver.

Whether it is the TV / Monitor can be discovered by turning it off, letting it cool, and turning it on again.
Also keep in mind that the monitor is HD ready, too high a setting can cause the image if the monitor does not indicate that it does not support the resolution.

If it still gives the same error, and it's not due the monitor or hdmi cable, then it is most likely the receiver itself, possibly the tuner part, maybe the Actel chip or something around it.
In any case, if you have an extra tuner in it, it might be interesting to try the box without it.
