Maybe it helps when you try it with another power supply, best is to use a 12vDc 3 Amps psu, but be aware of the polarization, the center must be the + side.

If that does not helps, then it could be the tuner, or a issue with the motherboard, thinking of some bad caps.

Hmm, if that didn't help, it will be hard to figure out why it reboots spontaneously.
Maybe it it something related to heat, could be caused du to much dust in it.
An bad cap may also be the cause, I would say, open the box and see if you can find something suspicious.

Most worse scenario what it could be is the cpu, with some bit of luck due outdated solder balls under it which could maybe be solved by using the reflow method.
If it's not caused due the outdated solder, then it could be the cpu itself which become old, or the nand flash chip has to much bad sectors.
In any case, sorry to say, but it can be caused due allot of things, thus it's not a easy thing to find such issues.

Perhaps reflashing the firmware could help... as it could be buggy.

Remember that using a HDD could create this problem, as there is too much Amp used by the HDD, how many Amp is using your HDD if you have one in the box ? Do you have USB devices connected and Pay-TV smartcards inserted ?

As I would bet it's asking too much power from the PSU, and more devices you have more it will request to the PSU... that could get the box rebooting.
