hi i installed new security chip on my duo clone & all was great was using openpli & did all i wanted then 1 day i turned off unpluged as was moving box to another room & when back on stuck on starting
box flashes fine from usb but wont go past starting
    any help would be appreciated
    thnx

    voltages on scurity chip are
    0v
    0v
    2.57v
    2.57v
    0.18v
    3.37v
    2.43v

so not same as i seen in pic on here
    thnx

Your missing the voltage for the chip, check the Q708 near the security chip, maybe is the zero ohm (bridge) resistor broken/interrupted.
Check the voltages input and output of these resistor to see if it has the voltage input and output.

Nevertheless there are several modifications made as you can see here two of them.
    vu_duo_q708Snap.jpg

In any case, the 3v source comes from the inductor F808, which is an psu output, you must measure on both sides the 3.3vdc, when the F808 connector side has the 3.3v, but the other side not, then the inductor has been damaged an needs to be replaced, or at least bridged to bring the 3.3v to the motherboard circuit.
When you have no voltages on both side, then you have a Power supply issue.

the q708 is the same as left picture on side nearest chip its 2.5v otherside is 3.3v resistor doesnt buzz or show a reading on low resistance scale
    shall i change that?
    thnx for your expert help

The one you have is a inductor instead of a zero Ohm resistor, however both ate basicly doing the same, and both method can be used.
It's just a sort of fuse protection, it may also removed, and bridged with a wire because there is also a xtra security inductor F808.

In any case, the security chip needs the 3.3v, it only works from the 3.3v to max 5v.
If you measure on one side of the Q708 the 3.3v, but the other side lower, then it must be replaced for another inductor, or zero ohm resistor.
In any case, this picture shows the vcc feed to the security chip, if you have on the Q708 on both sides the 3.3v, but on the security chip vcc pin lower, or nothing.
Then there may be a interruption between the Q708 to the Security chip pin, repair it with a wire.

before i start soldering heres a pic of my chip & confirm voltages are from left to right 0v 0v 2.57v 2.57v 0.18v 3.37v 2.43v so am i correct in thinking that the 0.18v on mine is the same as pin you show in your pic that should be 3.3v? sorry about question just it has 1 less pin:)
& as i have a dead duo board i can pull 0 ohm resistor & use that instead of inductor correct?
thnx for your expert help again

Yes indeed, the 0.18v (which is the 3.3v pin) is inactive and needs to be have the 3.3v.
I can not see if the pins are good soldered and also be aware, since you only soldered it from the parts side, that on the print side there may be a wire on this pin to the U1, and can become loose during soldering by this method, see the picture.

It's not always present, only on the older clone boards, but unfortunately you should check this and I can not tell if it may lower the voltage pin when it's disconnected, or gives some influences by starting up.

    I am limited back.
This is due to a heavy operation that I have had to undergo, and because I am still recovering, I can no longer or always respond immediately because I have to spend a lot of time recovering.

But fortunately toysoft is so friendly to respond or help on the messages, my big thanks,

Concerns, this problem and the solution, no 3.3v delivery to the Japhar VuJ chip security card is simple to solve.
Or you repair the defective parts that pass the 3.3v to the security card.
Or you connect the 3.3v output of the power supply directly to the 3.3v connection of the security card, but when you do that it seems to me logic to remove the Q708 part,
Also, if there is a wire on the print side. then you need to check if its still connected, it's the 3.3v delivery to the U1 chip.

sorry for late reply been busy with christmas coming
the wire on under side of board was ok i added link wire to chip for the 3.3v from inductor that had 3.3v on & bingo box fired up straight away
thnx for all your expert help this clone lives on
    merry christmas to all:)
