Dear Sir could you please help me to change the mac adress of my zgemma h9s se. i have found a tuto in zgemma.org but it dosent work ,when i type the command "macprog" i get an error message "command unknown" thank you.
I assume you have tried it with these pdf guide from zgemma dot org. But it may goes differently due the type, or version software you have installed. And sometimes it can be changed in the Network setup, the Network MAC settings. My best idea is to check which image file you use, and to search for it. As example to search to, Openpli change mac address
Hi , thank tou for you answer. yes i used that pdf guide.i have also tried many other ways seen in other forums :like writing scripts or editing scripts concerning etho, in differente images (open pli ; open atv, open vix) but in vain,it seems that zgemma has blocked the change of mac adress in these recievers, through network setup.the only way is through the rs232 port inside the box on the mother board as shown in the guide ,but the commande is not recognized. could you please help me.
Not me, because I never had this zgemma h9s se, and if so, never needed to change the mac address. It may also be the case that the network is connected to a network and therefore refuses to change the address. What also helps in some cases is to use a usb wifi stick, and to make an ftp connection via the wifi ip address and then edit the config file. And also, in some cases it is also possible to do the serial rs232 option. These are just some ideas that may point you in the right direction. Or else, you'll have to wait for another member which may have better advice/experience with these receivers.
ok ,thank you very much.i hope ther will be someone who has experience with this reciever and could help.
thank you ALIRAZA for your help, i have installed "change mac updated" on PLI8.1 but nothing hapened.ther is no new plugin in plugins and no option to change mac adress.should i do anything after installing the package?could you please give me more indications?
Thank you very much for your help Aliraza. i have tried this methode but in vaine .i have remarqued that this commandes are for ethernet connexion ,but i am using wifi.when i give the commande ifconfig in telnet i recieve the following informations(see joined image).
Mac picture.. To me it seems that you have a loopback issue. Code: lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:65536 Metric:1 RX packets:611 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:611 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:8136 (7.9KiB) TX bytes:8136 (52.4 KiB) Link wlan0 seems to me okay but seems to be connected to a ip6 host network. What i think, based to this issue and showed picture is that there is a router issue, or related to it as a vpn network or other causes due the ip6. As for the picture shows, Or the lan network settings are incorrect, or not connected to a network, or set to static or bad network cable, or bad network connector etc... It could also be a config issue thinking of not having the lo to auto lo but something as static.
Hi, thank you very much for all of you for your help; i have finally changed my mac adress after i have used ethernet conexion .but this is impossible with wifi. i hope there will be a solution for wifi conexion in the future, because i would like to use my reciever with wifi since the router is far from my reciever.
If I understand correctly, your lan network connection from your receiver is now working because you managed to change its mac address, but now you want the same with your wifi? It seems to me that it is the same method as with lan, but wlan. But that probably sounds too simple.
Hi, all the methodes given in different forums are for lan conexions, not for wifi. the given scripts for lan should be modified to work with wifi, but i am not qualified for that. i hope some one could do that.
