    Hello,.
Of course , i need some help to solve the problem i have on my Dm800Hd Se.
I have got an issue with the hdd mounted . At the booting of the dream, i hear the HDD working but if i want to acces to the videos recorded on it , the HDD makes a strange noise like a defect one .
I am sure it works well because i test it on an other dream.
The problem can come from its power supply maybe to low.
Do you have any shematics which can help me to follow the power line of the HDD ?
    Or an other suggestion ?
Thanks in advance for your help

The 5v hdd voltage is delivered from the U1100 and is also used for other things on the motherboard and can become unstable when using some older 2,5 inch drives due the amps consumption.

Using an Ssd drive should not giving these issues, or newer mechanical 2,5 inch drives.
Or you could consider to add a Dc to Dc converter, something like this..

By separating the 5v to the hdd, and to add a 12 to 5v converter.

    Hello Johnny B,
I realy want to thank you for your help.
First, i will try with an SSD HDD and if it doesn't work properly i will try with the Dc/Dc converter.
    Thanks again ;)
