It can be a nice machine. Unfortunately only very few programs in 4K reesolution .
Thank you Johnny for sharing with details (of mainboard.)
Do you know if there is any info/datasheet about the CPU?

Thanks for pictures. New hardware, old tunner, one card reader, one common interface and ONE capacitor (470 mF). Hehe
But price is not so high like old dreamboxes.

    @bibic
Yep a lot of ones, even the software for it is only the stock software which is not so good for the Hotbird E and Astra 28.2 E etc.
Same issue as with the stock software for the dm520hd, but luckily for dm520 is the Openatv available.
But not all is one, it has two usb ports and......
    Four UHD demo channels. :D

But it still a nice piece of technology and design.
As the startup time is very fast, within 10 seconds and operation of the channel switching is also fast.
A worthy successor to the DM800SE receiver.

Dm800se is old, but gold. If dm900 will use new silicon tunners will be the best. Price/performance.
New silicon tunners know multistream and dvb-sx2.

Yes I am agree with you, but if they add to it, than the total sales price were higher and may scare buyers.
Nevertheless, there are sellers who offer this box with the Silicon Tuner.

Of course I have these Dreambox Twin Silicon Tuner, and obviously placed in the dm900uhd box.
But to keep the dm900uhd purchase low, I had bought it with the ordinary single tuner.

First image with dm900 sim 2.30.
Tuner is hybrid (triple); sat/cable/T2+sat/cable/T2. Only 2 tuners are active in the same time. Hybrid tunner it's a bit bettert han the dm800se tuner. The receiver is fast and stable. I would have preferred a cooler on that radiator. Maybe I will mount one in the future. The only downside is software support; there are not many images for the receiver. But being a new product is expected to appear and new images (I wait merlin and newnigma).

Yeah good working software for a combo tuner is always a issue.
Somehow it seems not to be so easy to build.
So I have the same with the dm525hd combo, satellite part works fine, but the cable not.
Only on the stock image file works both without any issues.

But thanks for the information and images so also the sim info.
In any case my dreamboxes from Germany has the A8P sim cards, and wonder why they swapped to sim 2.30.

I cant say it fore sure, but a clone may have the sim 2.30, and the original A8P.
In any case, my boxes Dm520/525 combo and 900uhd were bought in the time of which clones not exist, and bought from Germany.
They have all the sim card A8P, even the sim card chip versions are A8P.

But not that it have to be a issue that/if it's a clone, the only thing you need to use are dm900uhd sim 2.30 image files as for example the Openatv 6.0 for Dreambox DM900 Clone SIM 2.30 (search with google to it).

As for the heath sink, yeah on my dreamboxes they are bigger, and removable due two screws but they have no fan.

Clones DM900UHD and DM520HD/DM525HD have Sim 2.30. You can upgrade for better support to Sim Japhar for the DM520HD.

Original DM900UHD and DM520HD have Sim A8P (first ones, then chip like for DM7080/DM820).

Sim A8P are not all SAME ! Be careful.

A Sim is generated for a specific model, so a DM800HDse A8P will NOT Work on other boxes such as DM500HD, DM900UHD, DM520HD, DM800HDpvr etc...

I tryed all image from dreamnew.co.uk.
    - Openpli - tunner empty (I think is for original receiver)
    - openatv - has some problems if you have many diseq (like me) and no signal on some satellites.
    - dreamelite - it's ok
    - gemini image - it's ok.

Thanks Johnny and Toysoft for explanations.

    Hello Johnny,
Today I wanted to mount a fan. I saw a fan connector on the motherboard with 4 legs. I measured the voltage, but there are only 2.74V on pin 2. I hope it is 12V. Where can I feed a fan?
    Thanks.

There isn't a fan connector on the motherboard.
I think, Best is to take the +12v from the power switch and to use a arctic tc fan

Not if you use a arctic tc fan because these are temperature controlled.
But no, I have not yet the measurements of these connector but it could be a usb data port.
