I have a DM7020HD v1 which had a dim OLED display so I increased the brightness in the settings which helped a little but now it has gone off altogether. Can anyone kindly help me to troubleshoot this? Is this a display fault or a PCB fault?

When further all work, thus also the remote control is still working, than I'm afraid that you have a defective display which needs to be replaced.

Thanks Johnny. Does anyone on this forum have a spare display?

Yeah that looks pretty messy and can still be due a defective display or the display chip has issues, or the display cable/connector to the front panel board has connection issues.

About the display panel, I have looked at it and found one, and checked if it works but unfortunately it doesn't, thus I can not help you to another front display panel.
My best advice at this moment is to check the display cable connector that goes to the front panel motherboard.

It could also be a bad firmware update, this happened also on DM8000HD/DM900UHD Displays when an update happens (it's inside the driver).

Hi @toysoft, actually in the end this was not bad firmware, it was a case of a setting in the menu which caused the display to dim after a few seconds of changing channels. Once I disabled this feature, the issue was resolved. Perhaps something to note for future reference. I am running OpenATV for reference. Thanks all for your input.
