    Hello again

I need your help again. Rookie stuff :)

I have installed the latest version of the Open atv (http://images.mynonpublic.com/openatv/current/dm520/openatv-6.1-dm520-20171026.zip) but i canĀ“t install the CCCAM.

After a lot of researches i have activated the softcam at the OPEN ATV, but appears the fallen error:

    NO CAM STARTED
CAM 1 must be diferent from CAM 2

Can you please help me? If it helps i can give you access true TeamViewer?

    Thank you.

With OpenAtv it goes differently, you need to add a address to get access to the cccam etc downloads.
Within am hour I will give you the information how to do.

It seems that the url cannot be reached, maybe later it will or you need to do it manually by telnet.
However this is more Toysoft his knowledge, wait for his reply or something.
In any case should the method I gave normally works, but the url is at this moment not reachable.

Okay, normally I prefer to keep it here but okay I've answered on their forum. with this..
    -------------
Since you still have access with the network and the rescue mode I advise you to use the front push button method.

So, you need to go to the rescue mode which can only be seen on the tv screen.
It's not so easy to reach, you must after switching on the box touch the button on the front.
Mostly you need to do several attempt to got there, you need seconds after turning on the box touch the button.
When it's reacts, you see it flashing, and afterwards you get the ip number or a http address on screen which you can use in your browser to access the box etc.

Upload a image file which is suitable for the sim card or sim card chip that has been placed in your box.
If you have a sim card sim 2.30 then use image files which are written for these cards search to dm520 sim 2.30 image files.

If you have a box, equipped with a A8P sim card or chip, then you can use the original image files as from OpenAtv.

Anyways, before you upload a image file it's better to look in the box to see which sim card it has before uploading a image file.

Hi johnny B. thanks for solution's

I run the steps in sequence, and after I saw the IP, when I upload the original file, after uploading the file unfortunately I see error 30 .
The version of dm-520 SIM card is AP8

I put the console log here.

    [*] Mounting '/dev/ubi0_0' to '/mnt'
    [*] Mounting 'tmp' to '/mnt/tmp'
    [*] Creating /tmp/tmp.hTSP8Z/settings.tar.gz from /mnt
    [*] Unmounting '/mnt/tmp'
    [*] Unmounting '/mnt'
    [*] Removing volume 0 from /dev/ubi0
ubirmvol: error!: cannot UBI remove volume
    error 30 (Read-only file system)
Fatal: Failed to remove UBI volume

    again ....

    [*] Removing volume 0 from /dev/ubi0
ubirmvol: error!: cannot UBI remove volume
    error 30 (Read-only file system)
Fatal: Failed to remove UBI volume

Hmmm, seems to me more a issue with the uploading and or used browser or other system cause.
Or the image file has some issues but I think that it may help if you use another computer to upload the file.
Just to see if that is the case.

In any case, I've tested it with allot of dm520's with the openatv-6.1-dm520-20171017.zip
Unpacked the zip file and uploaded the openatv-6.1-dm520-20171102.rootfs.tar.xz file with a (firefox) browser.
When done and works updated the software online with the box.
    Which should works flawless.

    Hello Johnny

I tested the console with another computer, but unfortunately the result is the same error of 30.
I tested the flash chip with the programmer and it's completely healthy and it does not make any mistakes to the programmer.
I do not know what the problem solution is

    Thank you

Hmm yeah maybe.. check the nand flash chip I/O pins with ohms measurements, all 8 should to have a similar ohm value.
If one is not, then you could get this sort of issues.
But that could also means that you have a connection issue between the nand chip and the cpu.

    Nevertheless, an error as,
    UBIFS: recovery needed
[ 3.760000] UBI error: ubi_io_write: error -5 while writing 2048 bytes to PEB
    etc.
Seems not so easy to fix of what I had read about is.
It's not sure if it's due the nand flash chip, or some memory block.
In any case, basically there are often UBIFS: recovery issues as also on my new box, but normally it succeed.
I wonder if this is due a hardware communication issue, or basically accourse due bad scripting.

Did you also have tried the stock image file from dreambox germany?

    Hello Johnny

After a lot of research, I realized that the resistor 1111 had changed to 100 k ohms and did not allow the CPU to connect with the flash.
The problem was solved by replacing the resistor with a value of 22 ohms.

Wow, that's clever found such a resistor error.
    You would never expect that.
Great job, and thanks for sharing your solution. :)

Because I was curious about his resistor I have checked it on my own boxes.
It's official a zero ohm (bridge) resistor and it's for the nand flash chip Write protect.

This WP# pin provides inadvertent write/erase protection during power transitions. The
internal high voltage generator is reset when the WP# pin is active low.

In any case, when this resistor is not present, or interrupted then the nand flash chip is protected for write and erase.
