DM520HD from other forum, that fails boot

    Hi. by opening the cover but as far as I see it in the output you have probably uploaded a wrong image file or not finished the upload.

    It's seems to missing some data based on,
    devtmpfs: error mounting -2
    which should be.
    devtmpfs: mounted

    I'm not sure if you had the network connected but based on,
    Ethernet Cable unplugged
    It seems not.

    In any case you need to go to the rescue mode which can only be seen on the tv screen.
    It's not so easy to reach, you must after switching on the box touch the button on the front.
    Mostly you need to do several attempt to got there, you need seconds after turning on the box touch the button.
    When it's reacts, you see it flashing, and afterwards you get the ip number on screen.

    take the time you need, in any case see this youtube movie at 1:23 to access the rescue mode.


    it's german language but may help you.
    But be aware, if you have a clone box, and so not a original you need to use the software which is suitable for you simcard.

    Simcard, or sim chip can you see on this picture, upper left.

    You have most likely the original box and can use the dm520hd original files as for example OpenAtv dm520hd which I use for these boxes.

    I have flashed that exact file 20171026, from that exact page. It starts flashing but at the log appears an error and the reboot button appears active, so i click it. That reeboot was my mistake.

    I will try to do the procedure to enter the safe boot now. But at the first time i only suceed true the telnet command at DCC software.

    I hope to have better luck now. Cross my fingers

    No luck. Stucked the red light and no image on TV. It can have any kind of protection from Dreambox to stop this procedure and only works true telnet? And if it so i cant send the command true IP, because it doesnt obtain any IP.

    I am so frustrated!

    So, you are be able to goto the rescue mode screen by touching the front bush button and see it onscreen, but you don't get a ip as for example as this?

    And you are sure that your network cable is working well, so also your network is dhcp?

    Sorry but I have no experiences with these boxes and putty commands.
    Normally you should always be able to access the rescue mode etc..

    Okay, now you are be able to upload a image file, or you do the rescue mode if you prefer that.
    Your box is an original, so no problems may arise.
