I have had problem with a dm500hd v2 for a longer time. If i touch the powercord it is sometimes almoast impossible to make the box boot. Today I opened it up and see that all 5 led on the motherboard is on. Suddenly after 100 times on and off clicking it changes from 5 led to only 2 led on and now the box works.

If i then twist the powercord a little bit it starts from 5 led again and goes to 2 led, but sometimes the 5 leds are a little bit darker and then nothing works.

Is it the powercord in the box that is the problem?

Best way to figure out if it's related to the power supply, or the cable from it is to take another 12vDc with at least 2 Amps or higher to known if it's related to it.
But be aware of the polarization, the center hole of the connector must be the plus side.

I tried 2 different before and the same result, did not start. But now when I have it working I can choose anyone of the three different power supplys and it works, but I changed to a bigger "end" on one of the powersupply and then it doesn't care if i twist the cable, for now.

I still think there could be something else wrong in the box too. Time will tell how long it works before the 5 leds light up again.

Well at least it helped, and keep in mind that these receivers the best works with a 3 Amps or higher to 5 Amps.
Power supply's lower than 3 Amps may to weak to work with.

I would bet as Johnny, on your PSU, could be bad inside or the cable broken doing bad contact... or PSU wasn't the original one and the plug doesn't fit properly into the DM500HD socket (bad contact).
