    Hi

    Dreambox
    DM500HD

The receiver used to recognize an external USB flash drive
And he gets to know E-SATA
Now no knowledge does not recognize
gives a message no storage devices found
Is there a solution for that

I'm sorry to say but I never used a E-SATA drive on a dm500hd, I always used a regular USB stick.

But I do know that you should use an external power supply for the hddrive, the dmbox 5vdc is to weak to deliver the power for it.
Perhaps another member can help you better with this, and just in case you need it, I have added the user manual in pdf, maybe it may help you a bit, see page 34 for some more about this.

    Hi

I own a hard disk and it works with an external electric current
And it was working on the receiver completely without a problem
But suddenly this problem happened to me
    no storage devices found

I even changed to another image to no avail

Okay, I assume you've already cleaned and inspected the esata port for damaged pins etc, and checked inside that everything looks normal behind the esata port area.

You could consider trying it with an eSATA to USB cable, but I think this was only suitable for USB 3.0 ports

As an extra, I examined that eSATA port and it mainly goes to the cpu via some ceramic capacitors.
Perhaps a capacitor has a break or there are problems with the circuit board.
If it doesn't, and it's not software related, or an external thing, then the CPU is left.

The best and easiest way is to check it with another eSata drive

    Hi

I also own this piece and it was tested

    I just did some experiments
For the DM500HD original does not work.

On the DM500HD-SIM2.10 -clone madrboard, you get to know and work.

Yes the dm500hd has two internal usb ports and can also be connected directly without a pcb as you can see here.
