With other words, the nand flash chip has a bad block which is normally not a big issue but when it is one to max 9 bad blocks as long they are marked to not to be used.

My idea which sometimes may help is...
With dreamup, above xtra, enable the bad sector option, upload a normal image file.
When you have bad blocks, repeat it until it gives no more bad blocks.
If that not helps than the other option is to replace the nand flash chip for a new one but to do the you have to need some solder skills and tools.

The image file, as also the boot loader depends of which sim card you have into the box.
I can only see that you use the #84 ssl boot loader, thus assuming you may have the sim2.10
When so, then you need to use dm800se sim2.10 #84 image files.

Be aware that it's based on the info you have given, by doubt, check in your box the sim card you have.

well, i have managed to get the dreambox 800hd se working as i speak now, i changed the japher sim back to the original sim and it came on with a openpli 6.2 and all my ip channels came on, but the problem might arise when i turn the box off and next time when i put it back on it might go back to no ca found, i have done this before and thats what happened previously. Tommorrow i will find out

The error you talk about is due to the fact that the sim is not compatible with the image loaded in the box. So be sure you use the right image with the sim installed in the box.

If you have a Japhar Sim, use ONLY Japhar images, see below
    http://www.ourdreambox.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=48&page=1

If you have another Sim, be sure you use the images built for that sim.
