Hello I normally turned on the decoder but it stopped at startup so I turned it off and on again and the display no longer starts and does not even recognize a USB key but the dim orange light of the "button" on the left display remains. I downloaded solo2 flash mcu tool and here then I get lost because I don't know how to do with update.exe and 808.bin. If I start hyperteminal with a null modem serial cable, I get the serial number of the box and stop there

When you have with the rs232 terminal output screen with only a code 73460012, than you may have voltage issue, thinking of a inactive 1.5v on the motherboard.
I think, check the voltages, one of them may have a issue and it may be inactive due a issue with the front panel, maybe the flat cable has some bad connection , or a issue with the front panel self.

the problem was given by the null modem cable which being a clone must be 5-5 3-6 2-1. after which he goes out :

if you want to download bootloader to flash please press the keyboard 012345
    ===============================================================================

Mcu connect to the flash Failure!
Download Image To the Flash (press '1' to s
    tart)

Waiting for the file to be sent ... (press 'a' to abort)
    CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

so I assume it is to change the flash chip. on the flash it says Samsung 325 k9f2g08u0c but looking on the net I can't find it. Is there any alternative?

The k9f2g08u0c is just a regular nand chip which can be found on ebay or aliexpress.

beyond finding the right nad then to load the bootloader is enough mcu flash tool with bootloader lorinson being a clone?

As far as I know it should be done with the jtag(i2c) way. but, I had it in the past also solved by using a pre-programmed nand chip made with a working solo2, removed it and placed it to the other board, or cloned/programmed with a nand flash chip programmer.
With this cloned chip method it will not start, but the normal usb method worked in my case.

As for the solo2 tool, it only works sometimes, probably related to the motherboard brand.

Anyhow, I think, the best way is the jtag method, when it not can make a connection to the cpu, then it's most likely due a hardware failure.

yes on the nand there are three numbers you list with the first two photos 1) Samsung 325 2) K9F2G08U0C 3) Here you can't read well but it would seem CPDJ65GHN or CPDJ66GHN or CPDJGGHN

I attach one what I found on Aliexpress the first two points are the same but the third no can go well the same

As long you use a K9F2G08U0C-SCB0 tsop48 nand chip it should work.

    As for the codes..
    K9F2G08U0C-SCB0
    1-K
    2-9
    3-F=SLC
    4+5-2G=2G
    6-0=Normal (x8) Tech.
    7-8=None Organization
    8-U=2.7v-3.6v
    9-0=Normal mode
    10-C=4th gen.
    11-
    12-S=Tsop1
    13-C=Commercial
    14-B=include bad block
    15-0=None pre-programmed
Others are package type, product date, and manufacture codes etc.

More about it see this overview..

hi, i replaced the nand samsung k9f2g08u0c (the same) but nothing always tells me mcu connect to the flash failure.
so you have to use the jtag?
can you explain me how to do it. i know that it takes a circuit that transforms into usb but i don't know which one to take and what are the 4 wires to connect. In addition, I think it takes BBS bcm97346_3.0.11119.19

The whole jtag howto do is already given in the previous reply of me which was on the 6th of January.
When using the four wires, thus also the 3.3v wire between the jtag board and the motherboard you may risk to damage the cypress board as also when you still power on the motherboard while it's already (at least the jtag voltage) are delivered.

As for the mcu tool, this was only released in the past for the original solo2 board to do the upgrade to the old mcu chips, later versions did not needed it, and may make the mcu chip corrupted if the process went well, and finished it.

Nevertheless, using an empty nand chip or corrupted, or wrong sottware, may also gives the mcu error due the incompatibility between the data on the nand chip, and the mcu chip.
Nevertheless, if/when the nand chip has the openpli on it, it should start up, but without working tuner.

so the 3.3v (vcc) cable I think I see in the photo of the post of January 6th that it is not connected so there is no need to power?

as for the connectors that go inside the MB 701 where can I find them (do they have a specific name?) as they do not sell them with the CY7C68013A

The 3.3v is already fed to the cpu/nand chip when the motherboard is powered on.
The jtag 3.3v plus pin can normally be connected, if you not turn the motherboard on, the cpu/nand chips, the jtag side will than be feed from the usb from your computer to activate the programming side.
However.. it's not recommended to do, and also not needed.

    Wires
Normal is there no need to build/use a specific connector, the use of jumper wires is sufficient, as also cheap to buy, just search to jumper wires.
You need the female to female wires.

hello I tried with the cypress CY7C68013A and followed the directions but when I get to the flash explorer and I put BCM7346 and then samsung k9f2g08u0c which is the same chip that was there before but the answer is

maker ide returned from the flash: 0 does not match

The picture shows that you use the k9f1g08u0d.xml script while your nand chip is the k9f2g08u0c.
Thus in this case it's logic that it won't work.

In that case it may happen that the nand chip has become corrupted, and need to be replaced.

But what could work is to do several times the erase option.
    Other option could be,
Switch the box off, and on, and immediately press the flash button.
Press the flash button, turn on the box.

However, in some cases this may help, and if not the only option is to replace the nand chip.
But even that is not a guarantee, because it can also be a communication problem between the cpu/nand chip.

Yeah,I noticed that by reading it back.

Well, that sucks, because there are no other options than I already had given.
Basic rules are, use the correct nand chip script.
Out my own experiences, do not do a attempt to flash the chip with a incorrect script, otherwise it will ends up wit these error, even when it's new.

But still, it's all about timing, switching the box, or maybe switching the cypres board before flashing could work.
That is, assuming there are no hardware failures as a non working 3.3v, or 1.5v circuit.

admitting communication problems between cpu and nand chip with a nand programmer in your opinion is it possible to do something?

I normally check the eight i/o pins with ohm measurements between the ground and the i/o pins to see if there are some issues.
They must be in the same ohm range, if one is not than it has a connection issue.
    More about this, read/see here.

Normally I would test again the whole jtag thing in my workshop to refresh my brains, but I'm still recovering from that codvirus, thus for now that's is no option.
