Descriptions of most of the parts which could be handy when there is a technical problem with these dm520hd box.
I've also collected most of the datasheets which could be useful.
    The parts,
U303 SMD Marking Code C97K SOT23-6 is still a bit unclear but it may be the SN74LVC1G97DBVR.
U304 SMD Marking Code C19K SOT23-6 is also a bit unclear but it may be the SN74LVC1G19DBVR.
But I think they are correct, so have the PDF files added to it.

    Good luck,

    Johnny,
    Thank you for your sharing.
Do you think that Dreambox satellite receivers have still a bright future before ? I little doubt. How about you?

Yeah hard to tell, because in my opinion it will depends on the software writers and how the Dreambox fabric support to them.
In any case is this box a good upgrade for the dm500 series, as for the hardware and the look but also the sell price.
The pcb design is good, less parts than older boxes and a good cpu heatsink which is also easy to remove with two screws on the print side.
The Hdmi port is better protected so maybe this issue is from now history, but it's to soon to say.

So... well, I think they make a good chance with the newer boxes as long the price is reasonable.
As for the future it will depend on the software and hardware support, I think.

Yes indeed, but as for the hardware support, I do my best.
And the software, if all goes well the Japhar team.
So, it could have a good chance, just as the older version dreamboxes.

Agreed and the confusion between original and clones does not help.
By the way are the images of the innards of the box of an orginal or of a clone? I notice it still has a sim card.

Images are from a original box and there are two types, one with a sim card socket, other with only the smart card chip version.
Both are A8P sim card/chip versions.
As you can see on the picture, black which is a v3 version motherboard has a sim card and white that is a v4 version has a sim card chip and both are original boxes.

Click on the picture if you like to see it full size.

Nevertheless, the ones with a sim chip, can be rebuilt to a sim card version by removing it and placing a sim card socket.

    Clone or original....
As for clone versions, I can not tell if there is a differences inside because I haven't got one yet.
But as far as I see it so far has a clone a sim 2.30 and a original A8P.
Further I know there are two clone boxes on the market, one of Maijar and has a front logo Zorabox that is easily recognizable from the outside.
The other one is from E-Best and just has the dreambox logo on the front and so on the outside is not recognizable.
The packaging (the box) is recognizable because these are blue (OEM Package) instead of black or white.

    Hello Dear Experts

I am facing a problem on two following Free to Air Channels broadcasted from PakSat 38 east.

    1- Lahore Rang TV (T.P 4132 V PakSat 38 East )
    .
    2- Such TV (T.P 4096 V PakSat 38 East )

In Dreambox receiver only audio of these channels is working while the video is not shown. But when I decrease signal strength of these channels then after some scratches these channels work fine for longer hours and when I change channel then again they don't open video of the Channels. Or when I pause these channels and after some seconds rewind these channels then the screen of channels is shown but don't play smoothly.

However these channels are working fine on China based and Amiko Alien 2 receiver and on Mobile and TV connected through DLNA function of the Dreambox DM520 receiver.

Here is video link of these channels recorded from Dreambox DM520 receiver.

    1- Lahore Rung TV

    2- Such TV

Kindly download above videos and play them in your DreamBox DM520 and suggest any solution.

    Thanking you in Advance.

Sorry to say but I have no idea how I could help you with this issue.
In any case, to me it seems not to be a dbox hardware issue, rather a decoding issue which may be related to some driver.
But when I think to a hardware issue, then I think of the power supply, or related to it.
