hello, I have a problem with my dm920 which remains locked at boot time
I tried to put an image for not giving me more ip ip on the display or on the tv and on the display of the box there is only the exclamation point
I tried to change the router but nothing changed
I tried to look for ip through ip scanner but does not find it
what the problem do you think?
Do you have another way to restore this box?
    Thanks

Till now I had no issues with my dm900/920 boxes and thus less experiences with it but there is a mini Usb service port you probably can use for flash rescue and can also be used to see what the box still do with a terminal program as putty or the older windows hyperterminal.

I think, search with google to Dm900 usb Flash rescue.

No need to be sorry, it's a interesting issue and as it seems by searching with google there are more with this network issue.
In any case, when I have this issue with a older dreambox, I always look trough the service port with a terminal program why it not works.
For the same case it is a conflict with another system on the network, thinking of a ip or mac address conflict.

    Hello,
In case that you have no hardware problem and rescue mode is running ( all these could be revealed through serial port log via mini usb port) and the problem is only webinterface, you may flash an image as following:
Prepare a usb stick with one of ext3/ext4/fat and label it DREAMFLASH, then download the latest image for your box, i suppose you are using dm920, from here and rename it to dreambox-image-dm920.tar.xz and copy it to usb stick. plug the usb to the box and boot to rescue mode and hopefully the image will be flashed to the box.
If everything goes right after booting you may do in telnet
    update-rescue -v
to have the latest and functioning rescue image.
    Good luck

Try to use a 100Mbps Switch in the middle between your DM and your Router,

I am not an expert and i could be wrong, but it sounds to me that you have usb host controller problem (hardware) which is not being initialized during the first stage boot loader and also when the kernel runs and this could be the reason why usb stick has not been detected. Your log also shows a normal boot which systemd (Init) is also starts but suddenly stops to freezing may be due to hardware problem or corrupted image.
May be providing a log when trying to enter the rescue mode(by turning on the box from the back and with small delay touching the front panel sensor for some seconds) could also help, you may also try another usb port in this mode!
